I am a crunchy mama of three handsome sons who are 9, 13, & 16, and the most beautiful blue eyed daughter, who is 16 months.
I married at the age of 17 and dropped out of high school, but then went back to school to be a nurse at the age of 28. The week after I graduated I decided to follow my heart and continue on to become a teacher, which is what I wanted to be since I was a little girl, and graduated with honors from the Ole Miss School of Education.
However, I am taking a break from teaching to stay at home with my daughter, whom we call Miss Ma’am. 🙂
I am passionate about educating mothers about breastfeeding & helping them to achieve their breastfeeding goals through science based information.
La Leche League has been the backbone of my support system since I had my first child, and I recently became a leader myself. I also worked for several years as a WIC lactation specialist.
The goal of my page is to help to bring breastfeeding education and to help to make it the normal way of infant feeding.
